Summer 2006
In this issue, Barry discusses Canadian teen magazines Fuel and Vervegirl; highlights the AML’s new Web site; and reviews Media Studies K-12, written by Neil Anderson and Sylvie Webb. This edition also includes a review by William Wallace on Thomas Zengotita’s book Mediated: How the Media Shape Your World; an interview with Chris Worsnop on his continued dedication to media education; and a special contribution by Lee Rother on Media Education and Youth in the West Bank.
Spring 2005
In this issue, Barry discusses two global media events, The Death of John Paul II and The Asian Tsunami.This edition also includes a review by Lidia Skarska on Lynn Schofield Clark’s book From Angels to Aliens. Barry highlights Finding God in the Dark, a book by John Pungente and Monty Willams, and Shari Graydon’s book In Your Face. Barry also shares his experience in China, which includes a special contribution, Media Education: A Chinese Journey, by fellow traveller Lee Rother.
Winter 2004
In this issue, Barry discusses Super Bowl Antics as a timely teachable moment and provides food for thought on celebrities in the media. From malls to postering, Barry discusses The Collision of Public and Private Spaces. This edition also includes: a special contribution from Media Studies Teacher, Greg Taylor; a review of Shari Graydon’s new book on advertising by Heather Debus; and Barry’s Interview with Media Educator Neil Anderson.
Fall 2003
