This outcome chart contains media-related learning outcomes from the Nova Scotia Grade 4 Health Education curriculum with links to supporting resources on the Media Awareness Network site.

Strategies for Healthy Living

It is expected that students will:

  • demonstrate a knowledge of the personal and social factors affecting food choices
  • identify and practise strategies to avoid risks associated with others' harmful involvement with tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs 
  • discuss gender issues in a way that reflects thoughtfulness and sensitivity
