This outcome chart contains media-related learning outcomes from the British Columbia, Grade 8 Social Studies curriculum, with links to supporting resources on the Media Awareness Network site.

It is expected that students will:

  • demonstrate willingness to exercise their roles, responsibilities, and rights as Canadian citizens 
  • support fairness, justice, and equality in their decisions and actions
  • assess diverse ways in which individuals may participate in political and social action in Canada
