MNet Review

A young Brazilian animator gives his audience a peek at the different animation techniques available to him. These include cell animation, cutouts, painting on glass, pixillation, plasticene and watercolours. By animating the same figure each time, the artist is able to show the particular style, feel and characteristic movement of each technique. Animando is a useful follow-up for high school art students, as well as for young students (Grades Four and up) who might want more in-depth information after they have worked their way through some of the projects suggested in Animation for Kids or The Flip Book.

Animando can be ordered online from the National Film Board, and can be viewed online for free on the National Film Board Web site
