The following figures are based on the findings of the California-based Computer Economics Inc.

  • Computer Economics expects the number of Internet-using minors worldwide to surpass 77 million by the year 2005.

  • North America and the Asia Pacific area will continue to experience the most growth in Internet usage among children.

  • The number of Internet users in the Asia Pacific area will increase nearly fourfold from 2001 to 2005.

  • There will still be more children using the Internet in North America than in the Asia Pacific area in 2005.
