A study released by Global Reach acknowledges that many more non-English users are on the Internet than ever before.
Since 1995, the number of non-English speaking users has increased from 10 per cent to nearly 50 percent of all Internet users.
In late 1995, there were approximately five million non-English speaking users on the Internet out of a total of 40 million users. In 1999, that number has reached 80 million, out of a total of 180 million users.
About 100 million Internet users speak English; Spanish and Japanese usage have each reached 14.2 million users.
