Voicing Your Opinions on Youth Stereotyping
  1. Speak out to the media if you see youth portrayals that bother you
    Use the Taking Action section for advice on how to speak out against media content you find inappropriate or offensive. This section also contains tips for writing effective letters that producers, broadcasters and advertisers will pay attention to, and contact information for reaching them.
  2. Get involved in media advocacy groups
    Many advocacy organizations and Web sites offer alternatives to mainstream media—and, for more radical citizens, information on the "culture jamming" movement.
